What is Global Seal ? Global Seal is a 2-pt. water-borne epoxy, protective coating, thats designed to be used on any wood,metal, or concrete, fiberglass, or rubber surfaces. How do you apply it ? Global Seal can either be applied using a brush,roller,or can be sprayed on as well Do i need a primer ? Absolutely not. Global Seal is designed to be used without a primer, and can be applied directly to the surface. Will my floor get really slippery after putting it on,or if it gets wet ? No. Global Seal provides a non skid finish.You wont be slipping and sliding all over the place if it gets wet.However,if you're putting on an area thats constantly getting wet, or an area that is slippery to begin with,we would recommend mixing our Heavy Gritt in, prior to application,in order to make it very slip proof Why is your product so expensive ? Its really not that expensive when you consider the benifits. For one, we include shipping, handling, in all our prices. Secondly, Global Seal comes with a full product warranty. This is something you will invest in ONE time, and never have to worry about any maintenence or any other problems for at least 10-15 years.We have other options ,if you choose to go that route. However, they also have many drawbacks.They arent good against moisture, they often pop,crack,peel and chip in extreme conditions,and they are not good at staying down when exposed to hot car tires,just to name a few. How do i need to prepare the surface before application ? When putting Global Seal on a metal, or wood surface,we only ask that you clean the surface, to be free of any dirt, dust, ect. On a concrete surface, the same goes for it, we also ask that the concrete has some roughness to it. If its very smooth, we recommend acid etching the surface before applying Global Seal. Muriatic acid its available for about $5.00 a gallon at your local hardware store.Global Seal comes in a kit. The kit includes a sample of our organic citrus degreaser, & a brush or roller. Which will be used to prepare the surface before applying Global Seal.This will be all you need to do in the majority of cases. My hardware store sells a protective coating for $40.00 a gallon, What gives ? If only we had a dollar for every time we heard this question.The $40.00/ per gallon coatings are designed to be used on a yearly basis. They are very quick to dissolve, crack, chip,and peel,so you will undoubtedly be putting them on your surface every 6-18 months, on average.the time you will be investing in labor, and on the product itself ends up being a huge waste. In addition , those $40/gallon coatings are solvent based. They are highly toxic,bad for the enviroment,not effective against moiture, and simply cant handle alot of the acids that will come in contact with them. They cure very thin , as compared to high a quality product, so mthe protection they offer is very limited.Global Seal requires more of an investment up front, but its a no brainer when it comes to doing the job right the first time. Will Global Seal prevent my metal shed from rusting ? Yes. Global Seal will prevent all metal and steel from rusting,will prevent concrete from cracking,and will prevent wood from weathering.If you already have existing rust on your metal,we reccommrnd our prouduct Rust-x. which is a rust converter that takes a rusted metal surface and converts it back to its original form. Global Seal sounds to good to be true. Whats the catch? Sometimes i wish there was a catch,but there isn't If you spend thousands of dollars having a driveway poured for example,Wouldn't it make sense that there was a product that could keep your investment in good shape ? Global Seal does just that. It simply prevents wood, metal, and concrete from agingin any way.In this day & age, its very important to protect what we have.Global Seal will do that more effectively than any other protective coatings on the market, guaranteed. Will Global Seal fill in cracks and pitted areas in my concrete? Yes and No. Global Seal will take care of any hairline cracks,but for anything beyond a hairline crack,we recomend a Permanent Concrete Patching & Resurfacing agent, such as our Farm Patch product .Farm Patch is a 2 part epoxy permanent patching product, that fills in any cracks ,holes and pitted areas.Its a mortar that you trowel on, and can feather edge it out as thin as a 1/8 of an inch. Once the cracks and pitted areas as sealed, we highly recommened using Global Seal on the surface to avoid further damage to the rest of the concrete. What kind of areas are people using Global Seal on ? Driveways, basements, garages,shop floors,automotive bays, kennels, roofs, barns , stables, fences, floors & walls,mangers, feed bunks,silos,grain bins, veterinary clinics,trailers,water tanks, and so on...as our motto says "Global Seal Seals and Protects Everything!" I have a moisture problem in my basement that never gets dry, can i still use Global Seal ? YES. Global Seal will bond to Damp & Wet areas. Global Seal is highly effective in areas like basements, for sealing out incoming moisture. We have many testimonials to the efficiency of Global Seal in impossible basement situations. The only thing we askin case of never being able to get an area dry,would be to have no "standing water " on the surface. Damp & wet isn't a problem at all.
